This weekend we quickly made a stop at Plopsaland De Panne. With the park now open, everyone is waiting for Heidi. The track itself is complete, but there’s still some work to do!
First of all, they have been improving the parking lot. They now made a zebra crossing alongside the side of the park and repainted the parking spots for disabled guests. You also see the ‘parade’ that was about to start in the park.
Fun thing about the crossing is that part of it also goes underneath Heidi! Always fun when you can stand right underneath the ride itself!
Only a few more months and trains will be passing by here!
As you walk further on, you see the first drop in sight and these nice airtime hills.
A little close up! Don’t expect any trains running soon as the rails themselves still need to be installed.
But don’t panic! The wood is ready, and I’m sure they are working on it right now (during daytime of course!)
Even though this seems to be a passage, there isn’t a gate. There’s a fence instead, so most likely it will have other purposes or is installed for the future.
This seems like fun! Pretty cool that the first thing you’ll see when walking towards the entrance might be this view!
As part of the parking lot renovation, they installed new flags indicating the number of the parking lot.
The lovely first drop. Here, as well, there is the need for some rails!
Up and down! The right part of track on this picture continues all the way under the first drop to return to the station.
And hit the brakes! The station is still a work in progress…
You can’t see the entrance when standing next to the first drop so in the end it has a decent length. Not spectacular but knowing the one in Fun Spot Orlando, it should have some force and airtime.
A bit hard to see but in the back you can see the concrete part of the queue and the building.
I have to say that it made me pretty excited to ride it soon!
The spare cars of the parade are left here on these specially reserved green parking spots.
When walking back, you could smell the brand new wood… Don’t you just love that?
Finally here’s a front shot of the parade. The third car has a little cart with Samson, ‘The Mickey Mouse of Studio 100’ that started it all. Without that character, the name Plopsa wouldn’t even exist!
